Jesse Duncan lately was in a Community Theatre performance of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee Directed by Alaska Turner. There Jesse played the role of Mitch Mahoney, the comfort counselor of the eliminated spellers, where he learned the beauty of dealing with crazy children.

In late 2021, Jesse competed in an Duet Thespy Event for Kansas Thespian Conference. There, he and Orion Turner performed a duet scene and was judged for the performance. The judges gave them a superior rating for it, and because of its high the scene was performed again at the Thespy showcase. Where a variety of different Thespys were shown.
